We roast a single origin: Vietnamese Robusta from the Central Highlands. It is bolder, darker, and stronger than typical Arabica, naturally fuller-bodied, generally higher in caffeine, with a deep chocolate-and-toasted-hazelnut character that stands up to milk, sugar, and ice.
Our beans are 100% Vietnamese Robusta, that is the only bean we source. What we take from Cuba is its coffee culture: the cafecito ritual, the espumita, the ventanita, and the hospitality that treats every cup as something to be shared. One bean, two traditions.
Commodity Robusta earned that reputation. Specialty-grade Vietnamese Robusta, carefully sourced and roasted, is a different bean entirely, dense, complex, and prized in the traditions we come from. We invite you to taste the difference.
Both. Choose whole bean, or have us grind it to order for the phin (medium-coarse) or the moka pot (fine). Whole bean stays fresh longest; grinding just before brewing gives the boldest cup. Every bag is 12 oz (340 g).
Slowly. Our favorite methods are the Vietnamese phin filter and the Cuban-style moka pot, both are covered step by step in our Brewing Guide. It also shines as espresso and cold brew.
Robusta naturally delivers a fuller body and generally contains more caffeine than Arabica. A small cup goes a long way, which is exactly why the traditions we honor serve it in small cups, sweet and shared. Actual caffeine in your cup depends on the dose, brew method, and serving size, start small and adjust.
Airtight, cool, and dark. Keep beans in the resealed bag or an airtight container away from sunlight, not the fridge. Grind just before brewing for the boldest cup.
